Of course, I have a longer job history than the 3 specific jobs named above. Below are shorter summaries of some of my older job experiences.
~ Working for Imagination Station in Ohio, I learned how to do semi-scripted mini demonstrations and longer-form, seated audience shows. I would learn things on the day or in the moment to be able to repeat for guests as they stepped up. As any guest may be of any age, I learned how to improvise to the understanding of the guest. By the time of my departure, I learned all 5 long-form shows, which was a professional achievement for the organization.
~In doing school pictures, I learned how to provide a good experience for people who may not want their photo taken. By providing an enjoyable or tolerable experience, I’d get good or great expressions from the student or staff member. I used all equipment provided by the company, including DSLR cameras, Windows laptops, specially programmed keyboards and proprietary software. I could operate solo on-location or as a member of a team. I would also help train people and provide guidance.
~Shortly after graduation from college, I got a lab technician job at a photography studio and printing business. I worked in the lab, processing film and printing from film and digital files. As I stayed on, I also became a photographer for portraits. While working there, I’d often problem-solve for technical things. I would also fix the Fujitsu photo printer as needed, tend to it’s functional needs. I would look up solutions in manuals and occasionally call tech-support for directions to fix it.
